• Rain-Sensing Automatic Wiper System

About the Project

  • Description:

"This project uses a rain sensor to detect rainfall and automatically drives a motor to oscillate a wiper blade. The motion is smooth and adjustable, mimicking real car wipers. It is powered by Arduino Nano, ensuring compactness and ease of use."

  • Key Features:

    • Automatic Rain Detection: Activates only during rainfall.
    • Smooth Wiper Motion: Gradual oscillation between 0° and 90° with speed control.
    • User-Friendly: Adjustable speed and sensitivity for customization.
    • Compact Design: Fits easily into any setup.
  • Applications:

    • Automotive industry (smart wipers).
    • DIY projects for automation enthusiasts.
    • Prototypes for weather-responsive mechanisms.

How It Works

  • Overview Diagram:

    • A simple schematic showing the rain sensor, motor driver (L298N), Arduino Nano, and wiper motor connections.
  • Workflow:

    1. The rain sensor detects water and sends a signal to the Arduino.
    2. The Arduino processes the signal and controls the motor driver.
    3. The motor oscillates the wiper between 0° and 90°.
    4. When the rain stops, the system returns to an idle state.
